Mr. Miller has advised Highstar for over 6 years in the waste, waste-to-energy and transportation sectors.

Mr. Miller has over 36 years of experience in the energy, waste and waste to energy industries. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Star Atlantic. Previously, Mr. Miller served as chief executive officer of former Highstar I and Highstar II Portfolio Company American Ref-Fuel until the company was sold to Covanta. Prior to his position as CEO, Mr. Miller served as American Ref-Fuel's chief financial officer.

Before joining American Ref-Fuel, Mr. Miller held various executive finance positions with a number of energy companies involved in petroleum exploration and production, international trading, and refined product retailing.

Mr. Miller is a graduate of John Carroll University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
