We view investment opportunities through an operational and risk management lens. Our approach is driven by our extensive industry knowledge and operational experience. We seek to identify and develop key value creation initiatives and manage downside risk through comprehensive due diligence. We also seek to develop and implement a clear execution strategy through all of our investments including a definable timeline for success combined with well articulated goals and measurement standards. We typically avoid investment opportunities that rely principally on high leverage/financial engineering or that encompass assets with little or no value creation potential (e.g., toll roads, Private Finance Initiative assets).
